01 Lowe's Salisbury — 1.4 MW rooftop
Running the full field operation: crew and cost-code management, daily production reporting carried from Excel into Procore and WorkMax, material coordination, and commissioning documentation as the array comes online.
02 Lowe's Abingdon — 1.6 MW rooftop
Ran the project from mobilization to closeout: crew and production management, material coordination, and daily reporting through the build — then commissioned the system myself: insulation-resistance (megger) testing, AC/DC verification, grounding checks, and the documentation package that takes a project from built to producing.
03 Lowe's Westminster — 1 MW rooftop
Superintended the full build from day one to turnover — crew, production, and quality through construction, then testing, verification, and closeout documentation at commissioning.
04 Lowe's Towson — rooftop
A two-week assignment at the start of my Solar Gaines run, on the racking phase: ballasted rails going down in long fields across the roof, string wiring pre-run at every row.
05 SolarCity (Tesla) — 35 MW installed
Started in solar in January 2012 and became the youngest crew leader in company history. Thirty-five megawatts installed under my crews before moving up the ladder.
The road since
SolarCity / Tesla · Greenscape · Vivint Solar · Suntuity Electric · Grid Alternatives · Neo Energy (Superintendent, 2020–2025) · Sunrun (Field Service) · Solar Gaines (Superintendent, 2026–present). Crew lead to superintendent, residential to commercial rooftop — every rung earned in the field.
01 Mari0 — a self-hosted AI operator
My own always-on AI agent: live voice, long-term memory, and a Slack command deck. It takes calls, tracks commitments, and runs briefs — the working prototype of the ambient agent I've been building toward for years.
02 One Report, Three Systems
The daily production report used to get typed three times a night — Excel, Procore, WorkMax. Now it's entered once and carried by automation, with a human review before anything posts. Read the write-up →
03 Journeyman HQ
The study system I built for my own Maryland Journeyman Electrician exam: drills, flashcards, timed simulations, and a plan that adapts to what I'm missing. Built it because the generic apps didn't study the way the field teaches.
Luminosity Field Services
Solar O&M, founder-led. Module-level thermography warranty testing, panel removal & reinstall, and commissioning / QA support for commercial solar — Maryland-based.
luminosityfs.com →Agents in the Trades
AI agents for the trades. A weekly newsletter and field guide — 35+ published use cases — covering practical agent workflows for solar, construction, and field operations.
agentsinthetrades.com →Field: crew leadership (20–25 on site), commissioning & QA, megger / insulation-resistance testing, AC/DC routing, grounding, production reporting.
Systems: Procore, WorkMax, ADP, Excel — and the automation layer that ties them together.
